Rules and Regulations

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS CAREFULLY. YOUTH GRAND PRIX SINGAPORE COMPETITION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DEDUCT POINTS FROM ANY ENTRY OR CONTESTANT THAT DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS.

Health Code

The health and safety of our participants remains our top priority, and YGP Singapore will continue to follow all guidelines issued by the Singapore government and theater policies.

General Information

YGP Singapore is open to dance students of all nationalities, ages 9-20 years old.

A participant’s age for the entire YGP Singapore season is determined strictly as of January 1, 2025.

Deadline for entries is 15 August 2024.

Age Divisions

Senior Age Division: 15 – 20 years old

Junior Age Division: 12 – 14 years old

Pre-Competitive Age Division: 9-11 years old

Refunds

YGP Singapore enforces a NO REFUND policy.

Credits only for YGP Singapore ( note only for Spore and not any other regions) is applicable to INJURED participants with a deduction of $150 administrative fee and must be used by YGP Singapore 2024.

Credit(s) (only of the entry fee(s)) issued only in the event of a physical injury. All requests for a credit must be accompanied by an official letter from a specialist doctor (family doctor’s letter will not be sufficient and will not be accepted). The letter must be on the office letterhead and include an ink signature, doctor’s stamp and must be sent directly to ygpsingapore@gmail.com no later than 2 weeks prior to the Masterclass’ first date. If YGP Singapore will not be notified 2 weeks prior to the Masterclass’ first date, only 50% of the entry fees will be provided as a credit, with an exception of force majeure or emergency situations.

Selection for the YAGP Finals

Outstanding Masterclass participants will be invited to the YAGP Finals at the judges discretion.

If selected for the Finals, in order to participate, Junior and Senior dancers MUST register with 1 classical variation and 1 contemporary solo.

YGP Singapore and the venue hosting the event are not responsible for any personal injury or property loss that is suffered by anyone attending or participating in the Masterclass. YGP Singapore reserves the right, when necessary, to relocate a Masterclass site/date/time or expand a Masterclass to a multiple day event if necessary.

YGP Singapore reserves the rights to change, delete, or add to any rules, regulations, or policies at any time deemed necessary.

YGP Singapore reserves the right to cancel any event due to lack of registration, weather, or other unforeseen circumstance. If an extenuating weather or unforeseen circumstance arises and YGP Singapore cancels an event and it is not rescheduled, refunds or credits for the following year will be provided. If the event is rescheduled, no refunds will be given. Should an extenuating circumstance arise, please check the website and/or your email address that you registered under for any event updates.

By signing up for YGP Singapore Masterclasses, all registered competitors grant permission to YGP Singapore and its representatives to publish their photographs/videos on local or national television, promotional videos, marketing materials, the internet, or any other visual media, as deemed fit by YGP Singapore in an effort to promote its competitions. In addition, all representatives, staff of YGP Singapore are released and held harmless from any and all claims for damages or injuries sustained while participating or attending any activity related to any and all YGP Singapore events. All photographs/videos taken by YGP Singapore and any independent representative commissioned by YGP Singapore become the property of YGP Singapore.
